As a actor, Perryn's bread and butter has long been comedy/musical comedy. He has performed in many well known shows such as The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man), Hello Dolly (Cornelius) Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Ira), The Winter's Tale (Autolycus), Urinetown (Barrel) and Into the Woods (Steward). In recent years he has appeared in numerous comedic original works. A Santa obsessed father in The Man in Red. A horny suitor in the As You Like It spoof What You Will. A megalomaniacal director in Buzz, Son of a Bee. A swing for numerous roles in My Big Gay Italian Wedding. In a less comedic turn, Perryn starred as JM Barrie in The Lost Boys, Or an Awfully Big Adventure, a musical exploring how the author's life often paralleled his most famous work- Peter Pan.
On film, Perryn's roles tend to take a darker turn. He has played murderers on Deadly Sins and Most Evil. A murder victim on Evil, I. An abusive husband on A Crime to Remember. A prison guard in Lock Out. As well as a few detectives on such shows as Deadline: Crime and Mysteries at the Museum.
Playing a husband desperate to spice up his love life with a little cosplay, Perryn returned to his comic roots in A Furry Awakening. He also wrote and performed the role of Preston in his comedic web series This Encounter May Now Begin.
